Dr. Matthew Bader was Board Certified in General Psychiatry in 2013 and completed his Addiction Psychiatry fellowship training in 2014. This specialty training has provided Dr. Bader with experience in treating a wide variety of addictions including alcohol, nicotine, opiates, cocaine, marijuana, and stimulants. Dr. Bader is trained and certified in the use of buprenorphine/naloxone (Suboxone) for the treatment of opioid addictions. His treatment approaches include motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, individual therapy, group therapy, and medication management.

Despite being specialty trained in Addictions, it is clear that there is a significant overlap between substance abuse and other psychiatric difficulties such as depression and anxiety. Thus, Dr. Bader hopes to offer services treating both sides of this equation, and also has significant experience treating such disorders as major depression, generalized anxiety, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and bipolar disorder outside of the context of addiction.
